Gastronomia de Bordo no Gafanhoto (Gafanha da Encarnação)

O Gafanhoto é uma casa junto às Escolas (dai o nome da rua…) e do Pavilhão Desportivo. Para lá chegar, duas hipóteses, ou pela Estrada da Mota e depois da rotunda da Teka/Heliflex vira na primeira à esquerda até chegar ao pavilhão desportivo e aí vire à direita ou então, na rua principal da Gafanha da Encarnação, vire à esquerda quando notar o stand da Graçamotor. Pergunte e lá chegará.

Com estacionamento fácil, a perdição é logo na(s) entradas. Há quem nem “coma”, só “petisque”. O Paulo e a Gina apostam em produtos frescos – é habitual um cliente ouvir o “não temos” quando a qualidade não é a mesma – e os produtos da ria são deliciosos – noutras ocasiões não perca oportunidade de provar os berbigões, ameijoas e… bem, tudo o resto.

Mais uma vez fomos fazer a experiência gastronómica e, como “gato escaldado”… dizeram-nos que era obrigatório sermos dois a fazê-la. Como eramos exatamente dois, fomos por ai mas por prazer e gula, pedimos umas ostras ao natural de entrada… Estavam deliciosas, servidas com um vinagrete à parte e gomos de limão para tempero. A acompanhar, um flute de espumante Quinta das Bageiras Bruto Branco 2016, a copo, que o resto do menu vinha já a seguir.

A experiência vem com as ovas cozidas, temperadas com pimenta, alho e azeite em tosta seguida da patanisca de bacalhau, achatada, quentinha. a saber ao produto e não apenas ao restante… Com essas duas entradas (mais as ostras) já degustadas, pedimos uma garrafa de Quinta dos Abibes Sauvignon Blanc 2016 para acompanhar a Feijoada de Samos. O tempero puxou o copo, com os samos em boa compaia leguminosa e cheia de tudo o que uma feijoada merece, desde a cenoura à chouriça caseira.

Quando chega o Bacalhau à Gina, uma posta grande – sem dúvida grande – do mesmo, de boa qualidade, feita com primor, a lascar e vinda do forno com a batata e ainda umas migas ao lado… quase que nos arrependemos de ter comigo a feijoada toda 🙂

Derrotados com tanto sabor e quantidade, nem fomos à sobremesa. Pedimos um café e chegámos à conclusão que no Gafanhoto, só se consegue comer bem. Mas é preciso ter apetite para tudo 🙂 Vale a visita, no mínimo duas ou três vezes, e só para conhecer as especialidades. Nota final para a carta de vinhos, a mais completa dos três locais que visitamos. Desde a Bairrada às outras regiões, e com espaço para os Grandes Tintos e Brancos, também ai estamos em casa!
