A verdade é que este podcast não é só sobre o Top 10 da Essência de Vinhos. É também sobre a mania que alguns têm de dizer: grandes vinhos provados na… (escreva uma feira ao seu gosto) e não dizem que são os gostos pessoais e as escolhas pessoais. Porque uma feira que tem 300 ou 100 produtores e está aberta cinco horas não permite muitas provas e há tendências. Cada um faça o seu roteiro e nem precisa comparar cromos…

Depois do desabafo, eis que fica o Top 10 da Essência do Vinho 2019. Quinta da Touriga-Chã 2016, Principal Grande Reserva 2011 e Dow’s Porto Vintage 2016 são os rótulos que mais se notabilizaram em 2018, para a comitiva de 50 especialistas internacionais que os provaram partindo de uma escolha de 60 vinhos pré-definidos pelo painel de provas da Revista de Vinhos – os melhores pontuados ao longo das doze edições.

Nos tintos, a qualidade apresentada proporcionou a distinção de quatro referências. Quinta da Touriga-Chã 2016, (Jorge Rosas, Douro) foi o que reuniu a preferência dos jurados. Seguiram-se Procura Vinhas Velhas 2014 (Susana Esteban, Alentejo, 2º lugar), Sabor(z)inho by António Maçanita 2015 (Azores Wine Company, Açores, Pico, 3º lugar) e Quinta dos Carvalhais Único 2015 (Sogrape Vinhos, Dão, 4º lugar).

Principal Grande Reserva 2011 (Ideal Drinks, Bairrada, 1º lugar), Guru 2016 (Wine & Soul, Douro, 2º lugar) e Cozs Vp – Vital 2017 (Coz, Vinho de Portugal) foram os brancos que se destacaram. Por fim, no campo dos fortificados, o júri elegeu Dow’s Porto Vintage 2016 (Symington Family Estates, Vinho do Porto, 1º lugar), Taylor’s Porto Vintage 2016 e Barbeito Boal 40 Anos Vinho do Embaixador (Vinhos Barbeito, Vinho Madeira).
