Os vinhos OPTA são, claramente, uma marca “diferente”. Primeiro porque surge virada para a exportação (foi dai que surge a ideia), por Camilo Leite, numa parceria com Nuno Cancela de Abreu. Assim, poucos conhecem os vinhos ou então pensam, erradamente, que era uma submarca da Boas Quintas de Cancela de Abreu. Não. Devem optar por conhecer.

A convite da JL Vinhos, do Joel Leite, estivemos a provar (no Oxalá) quase a gama completa dos vinhos, desde um espumante Bairrada à coqueluche, e que estava a ser lançado nesse dia, o Opta Grande Reserva. Um grande vinho, “fora da caixa” e que foi uma enorme e positiva surpresa da noite. E dai fomos falar com Camilo Leite.

Da autoria do enólogo Nuno Cancela de Abreu, Opta Grande Reserva Tinto 2015 promete surpreender através das nuances de eucalipto, tanto no aroma, como no sabor.
As castas Touriga Nacional, Alfrocheiro e Tinta Roriz, depois do contacto pelicular de três dias a frio a fermentação decorreu a 24ºC durante duas semanas com maceração suave em cubas de inox. “O estágio de 18 meses em barricas de carvalho francês amaciou os taninos e conferindo-lhe grande complexidade e uma elegância muito própria dos grandes vinhos do Dão” refere Nuno Cancela de Abreu.
Camilo Leite, partner da Opta Wines, afirma que “O Opta Grande Reserva Tinto 2015 é um vinho que marca pela diferença, desde logo conferida pelo terroir único e muito característico, resultante do manto de eucaliptos que rodeia a nossa vinha”. Acrescenta ainda que “algumas folhas de eucalipto, as menos persistentes, podem ser encontradas no solo, conferindo um terroir único e muito característico, de perfeita harmonia entre castas, solo granítico e as nossas práticas vitícolas”.
