A partir de 13 de Abril, a Casa do Vinho Verde, na Rua da Restauração, Porto, abre portas a um ciclo de jantares temáticos que, mensalmente, propõe um “Regresso à Casa do Conde”. Um programa que convida a recuar até à segunda metade do século XIX e a frequentar o Palacete Silva Monteiro – que actualmente dá lugar à Casa do Vinho Verde – e num ambiente diferente aprender mais sobre três nomes grandes da literatura com jantares conduzidos por três chefs de renome. E o acompanhamento, claro, de vinho Verde.

Os oradores são Gonçalves Guimarães para descobrir Eça de Queiroz, conhecer Camilo Castelo Branco através de Isabel Pires de Lima e desvendar o universo do Conde Silva Monteiro com Joel Cleto.

Para além dos oradores convidados, três Chefs de referência confecionam menus inspirados em nomes maiores da literatura portuguesa e da sociedade portuense: a 13 de Abril, uma noite “à mesa com Eça de Queiroz” conta com o Chef António Pinto – da Casa de Tormes – para recriar o menu queirosiano de “A cidade e as serras” harmonizado com o “fresco, esperto, seivoso” Vinho Verde. A 25 de Maio, o Chef Renato Cunha revisita “A brasileira de Prazins” e apresenta produtos tradicionais da região minhota num menu Camiliano para estar “à mesa com Camilo Castelo Branco” e, a 29 de Junho, o Chef Hélio Loureiro prepara um jantar de inspiração oitocentista no Palacete da Rua da Restauração onde, à época, os salões se enchiam de arte e de cultura para receber a sociedade portuense.

O “Regresso á Casa do Conde” é uma iniciativa cultural integrada nas comemorações dos 110 anos da Região Demarcada dos Vinhos Verdes e tem como objectivo celebrar o Vinho Verde na literatura portuguesa, para além de promover a Obra do Conde Silva Monteiro, importante figura da cidade do Porto a nível cultural, económico, social e filantrópico.
