Decorreu a meados deste mês, sempre no Hotel Paraíso, em Oliveira do Bairro, a IV Gala Gastronómica da Bairrada. Mais uma vez casa cheia para receber 6 chefs, 6 pratos e 6 vinhos da Região. A única diferença em relação a outras galas foi que, desta vez, os produtores “repetiram” presenças!

O Chef Luís Patrão abriu as hostilidades, depois dos canapés com vários espumantes – de grande nível – com um Pitáu de Raia em grande forma, acompanhado com o 3B extra-bruto da Filipa Pato (a produtora não esteve presente mas fez-se representar pelo pai, Luís Pato). O Chef Armando Matos – que dias depois anunciou que ficou com a chefia do Anna’s, em Aveiro – seguiu-se, com um Lúcio da Pateira com aromas de caldeirada. Um prato que caiu muito bem no gosto dos presentes, e que teve a acompanhá-lo o Vinho Branco Quinta do Valdoeiro 2016 das Caves Messias.

De seguida, um prato rebelde com um vinho igualmente rebelde. O Pato Rebel 2017 do Luís Pato acompanhou com mestria a “Cavala e o seu Habitat” do chef Jorge Pardal. E dos peixes, seguiu-se a carne e, adivinharam, dois tintos bairradinos. O Chef Hugo Pereira apresentou-nos uma Favada à Gondoreza nos dias de hoje, em que o rojão estava bem apresentado e com um belo sabor. O vinho Baga Tradição 2016, um 100 por cento Baga das Caves Messias, mostrou frescura, vivacidade e acompanhou de forma impecável este prato.

O “Cabrito e as texturas da terra” do Chef Gonçalo Melo cumpriu de forma exemplar o imaginário das gentes bairradinas com o bicho a ser acompanhado por um Casa do Canto Bairrada Reserva 2015 a mostrar que a cave vai ser excelente para estes vinhos e onde se nota bem o dedo do Osvaldo Amado no mesmo.

Para a sobremesa, o Chef Ricardo Santos jogou com o olhar – pois a beleza estimula os sentidos – e apresentou o prato “Oliveira Doce”, que foi acompanhado com o “Abafado Molecular is a Branco 2011” do Luís Pato. Um vinho completamente fora da caixa, cujos aromas e boca foram o casamento ideal para o prato e uma das boas surpresas para quem nunca tinha provado este vinho.

A organização anunciou, desde já, a data e o elenco da V e última gala Gastronómica. Dia 10 de Novembro, no Hotel Paraíso, vão estar juntos o Chef Armindo Alves, Delfim Soares, Nuno Cabral, Flávio Silva, Gerson Oliveira, Eduardo Maya e Waldeci Marreiros. Os vinhos, saberemos mais perto do momento!
